Obituary of Donald Joseph Simms
Passed away peacefully at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on October 3, 2018 in his 76th year. Beloved husband of Judy Simms of 52 special years. Loving father of Jody (Steve) Baird and Leah Simms (Paul Stuebing). Proud grandpa of Michaella, Josh and Edward. Survived by his sister Lorna Williams, niece Deb (Darryl) Johnson and nephew Robert (Marjo) Williams. Predeceased by his brother-in-law Clem Williams and his nephew Andrew Williams. A special thank you to the Strathroy Hospital Nursing staff who took such great care of Don. Donald was retired from the Hamilton Wentworth Engineering department after 35 years and he was Past Master of Buchanan and Hillcrest Masonic Lodges. Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 15th at 1:00p.m. at White Chapel, Hamilton. A remembrance of life will be held at a later date, in Strathroy.
