Bob, I was in the aircraft with you and Matt as we flew close over a bald eagle just before landing at Catfish Lake in Algonquin Park in September, 2006. It is the only time in my life that I saw a flying bald eagle from above. Matt soars again.

Dear Jan and Bob,
Although I didn't really know Matt, all comments I've read tell me he was a kind soul. I've recently discovered Hawk Hill in High Park in Toronto where many gather to watch the fall migration of hawks and other raptors. When I now go there, I will think of your son, as his spirit soars with the hawks.

Dear Bob and Janice,
My sincerest condolences go out to you and your family. Matt was an incredible man and artist, and I am so lucky to have known him. He shared so much knowledge when I worked with him, and was wonderful to be around. Although I was sad to see him go, I was excited to see what adventures he and Chris would get up to out west. Every time I see a red-tailed hawk I am reminded of Matt. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.
