To Jan and Mike.... words cannot express how shocked and saddened Wayne and I are at Geoff’s sudden passing. Our memories of fun and laughter are endless. Geoff was fun; funny, thoughtful, generous, compassionate and just an all around great friend whom we’re so thankful to have met and grew to love here at Ranch Mobile. I was shocked to read Geoff's obituary the other day. I immediately phoned a mutually close friend (Bruce Cole), and said; tell me this isn't Geoff from baseball, and our travelling softball tournament team that included the "3" Jan's? Sadly, yes, it is. To you Jan, to your families and to your many friends, my heart goes out to you and to all of you. He was a great guy, he was a great team mate, he will be missed. I attached a few photo's from a tournament we attended in the Deseronto area, if I recall my own photo work? (my memory is fading) To Geoff, with my sincerest condolences... Geoff was a big kid and I loved that about him. He was my next door neighbour and I'll never forget hearing him over the fence more than once yell, "Cannon ball!" as he jumped into the pool. We'd often chat in the front yard about this and that. He would tell about the latest gadget or toy he bought, his golf game and his plans to enjoy life. He was generous and lent his lawnmower when ours stopped working. He also made time for my two sons - Whether it was a friendly wave in passing, sharing a common interest like golf, putting in a good word for jobs, or offering timely advice. He was a prominent member of our little community and will be greatly missed. Geoff, I wasn't ready to say goodbye. You were a fun-loving neighbour, friend and mentor. Our family will miss you dearly.

I would give a lot to play one more round of golf with Geoff. I'll never forget the advice he gave me. He told me when we were golfing that "There's no spot on the score card to draw a picture. What matters is that you put the ball in the hole." This could be applied to more than just golf and I think he knew that. He also told me, "Don't be an idiot" when it comes to drugs and picking friends. I really enjoyed my times with Geoff and I'm gonna miss him a lot.

There are no words that can fully express how much I’ll miss Geoff. He was the best pretend cousin, drinking buddy, Bbq mentor, merch model and babysitter ever! I will miss the poolside drinking and craziness we shared every summer and the nights you bribe me with wine so I can type your golf game emails and be your personal tech support. Guess I’ll have to join the Jan and Bob chats at nights for now, till we meet again…
