Fallen Limb
A limb has fallen from the family tree.

To the Nixey family
Our condolences to you on the passing of Thelma.
I am the daughter of Peter and Janet VanStrien who were neighbours with Thelma at Kennedy Ave in Ilderton for 10 years and then also at Craigweil Gardens in the last little while. We lost both Peter and Janet this winter and understand your sadness at this time.
Cathy I haven’t seen you for a long time and had no idea that you were related to Thelma!

We all have such fond memories growing up and going to Aunt Thelma's house. She was always so happy to see us, her apple pie was the best!!! She was always interested in our lives over the years and our kids lives as well, she is for sure an angel in heaven now at peace and watching over us all, just like she did on earth. love to all my cousins as i know you will miss her dearly. xo love Gin and Justin

I was very lucky to have Mrs. Nixey as a babysitter during my formative years. She was kind, thoughtful, and empathetic. She always had the best cookies waiting when we got off the school bus. Mrs. Nixey had a heart of gold.
I am so sorry for your loss and I hope you find peace knowing that she impacted so many people in her life. Its been more than 25 years since I've seen her and she still enters my thoughts quite often. Her grace will live on in her wonderful family.

Christmas and Summer were special growing up going to the family gathering seeing everyone.
Most importantly getting a chance to see this wonderful lady called Aunt Thelma who always had her lap full of children laughing and talking. She was the amazing almost flawless wife, grandmother, aunt. She taught us many thing about being kind caring and loving. My family and I are glad to have you in our lives.
