Martha, I met your Mom and Dad back in the 1980s while working at Beacon Books. Your parents were always some of my favorite people. They were both always so genuine and kind. Years later, it was such a joy to get to know your Dad through our church connection. He is someone I will always have a tremendous amount of respect for. He always was more concerned with others more than himself, always asking about my family although growing frail himself. He had a fantastic sense of humor and was always as sharp as a tack when we would strike up a conversation in the grocery store. Although I am certain your hearts are sad, please know that your Dad was a gem of a person who has left such a beautiful legacy as being the salt of the earth. Praying for you at this time.
