I first met Norma when she came to our house to meet the Doughty tribe. She was very pretty and smart in her suit and all went well until she sat on David's bread and jam. It was hilarious and we all fell about laughing including Norma and It has always been laughter ever since, and she has been part of our family ever since.
I have always admired her courage, strength and tenacity in dealing with life good and bad. Leaving her family and coming to Canada, her accident and the passing of Brian, whatever life handed her she dealt with it in her inimitable way.
Now she will be laid to rest in peace with her beloved Brian .
I will always remember Norma with a tear and a smile
Hope all goes well at her funeral

Even though our paths have gone in separate ways over the past few years I was saddened when I got the news last night of Norma's passing. She was a great friend and neighbour. Archer Crescent was never the same after Brian and Norma moved. Norma's smile and attitude always made the day go a bit easier for me and Ellen. I do miss you old friend and will never forget you.

So sad to hear this news. I will always cherish my childhood memories of holidays with you and Brian and I will forever hear your voice and most definitely your laugh.

Lesley and Paul, I am so sorry to learn of the passing of your dear mother. I have known her since your days on Archer Crescent. My best memory is your dear mom standing on her head to entertain my children, Jason and Emily. She had a great gift of making eveyone feel welcome and at ease. Norma was a truely great woman. Caring, loved a good laugh and didnt mind speaking up if she didn't agree. If anyone had 1 tenth of her drive and strength in life, they would have no problems reaching their goals in life. She will be truely missed and sorry to her family for their loss
