Obituary of Lloyd Thompson

At Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on Tuesday, October 5th, 2004. Lloyd Silas (Chub) Thompson of Strathroy, in his 87th year. Beloved husband of Kathleen (Kay) Thompson of Strathroy. Predeceased by a son Bruce (1977). Dear father of Joan and Ron McCaw of London, Norm and Debra Thompson of Strathroy and Glenn Thompson of Newbury. Loving grandfather of Tammy and Shawn McCormick, Heather and Kevin Rioux, all of London, Cindy and Troy Cameron of Strathroy, Jennifer and Michael Rowell of Mt. Brydges and Mathew Thompson of Strathroy. Great-grandfather of Spencer and Benjamin McCormick and Ryleigh Rioux. Also survived by sisters Lillian Lovie of Exeter, Jessie and Jim Rushton of Markham and sister in law Hazel Thompson of Sthrathroy. Predeceased by sisters Gladys Fenwick, Mary Thompson and brothers Russell, William, Earl, Grant and Roy Thompson. Visitation will be held at the Denning Bros. Funeral Home, 32 Metcalfe Street, West, Strathroy, on Thursday, October 7th, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held on Friday, October 8th at 1:00 pm with Reverend Kathy Fraser officiating. Interment Strathroy Cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Diabetes Association or North Caradoc Presbyterian Church would be appreciated by the family.
