Obituary of Elva Willmott

With hearts saddened by loss but overflowing with beautiful memories, the family of Elva A. Willmott announces her peaceful passing at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on Monday, May 1, 2006. Beloved wife of the late Dr. G.W. (Bill) Willmott (1993), she was the cherished mother of Sonya Willmott of Strathroy and Robert (Bob) and his wife Karen of Parkhill and loving grandmother of three grandsons, Jeffrey ofThunder Bay, Christopher of London and Joe and his wife Lindsay of Guelph. Born June 2, 1910, a daughter of the late Roy and Mary (Smithrim) Demaray, she was predeceased by two brothers, Clarence and Stan and two sisters, Nellie and Marie. Elva brought joy to the lives of those who knew her, through her kindness, generosity, zest for life and her strong faith, and will be sadly missed by her caring relatives and the many friends she made throughout life's journey. Visitation at the Denning Bros. Funeral Home, Strathroy on Thursday, May 4 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A funeral service will be held at the Strathroy United Church, on Friday, May 5 at 11 AM with Rev. Jock Tolmay and Rev. Charles Seed officiating. Interment in Strathroy Cemetery. Donations to the Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital Foundation, Heart and Stroke Foundation or charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
