Obituary of Esther Boer

Peacefully and in calmness of soul, Esther de Boer of Strathroy, in her 82nd year, left this world with full assurance of her heavenly Father's welcoming love. Surrounded by the love of her husband of 52 years, Sybren de Boer, and that of their children, Esther passed away at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on Saturday, May 20, 2006. Loving mother of Orval and Yvonne de Boer of Sarnia, Margaret and Harry Knip of Exeter, Tony and Marian de Boer of Exeter, and Andy and Chris de Boer of Cambridge. Proud grandmother of Jocelyn and fiancé Jason, Jolene and Chantel; Jilleana and Mark, Cherisse and Jim, Joshua and fiancée Sarah; Nathan, Aaron and Adam; Stephanie, Ryan and Danielle. Great-grandmother of RJ and Riley. Predeceased by an infant son, January, 1956. Friends and family will be received at East Christian Reformed Church, 476 Metcalfe Street East, Strathroy on Tuesday, May 23rd from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held at the church, officiated by Pastor Walter De Ruiter on Wednesday, May 24th at 11 am. Interment at the Strathroy Cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
