Obituary of Jacob Wal

Peacefully on Sunday July 23rd at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital, after a short illness, the Lord took into His presence, Jacob Vander Wal of Coldstream in his 86th year. Beloved husband of Pietje Johanna (Valstar) for 58 years. Loving father of Pietje Power of Strathroy, Alice (Gerald) Larose of Brantford, Richard (Luanne) Vander Wal of Kerwood and Kenneth (Ruth) Vander Wal of Denfield. Also survived by 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, brother John (Johanna) Vander Wal of Strathroy and 1 brother and 4 sisters in the Netherlands. Predeceased by 1 sister and 3 brothers. Visitation will be held at Denning Bros. Funeral Home, 32 Metclafe Street West, Strathroy on Tuesday July 25th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the East Christian Reformed Church Metcalfe Street East, Strathroy on Wednesday July 26th at 11:00 a.m., Pastor Andrew DeGelder officiating. Interment to follow at Friends Cemetery in Coldstream. In lieu of flowers donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
