Obituary of Gertrude Schepers

Peacefully at Strathmere Lodge on Wednesday, April 4, 2007, Gertrude Schepers (Dortmans) of Strathroy and formerly of Parkhill in her 82nd year. Beloved wife of the late Harry Schepers (1998);loving mother of Mary and Casey DeGroot of Thedford, Anne Wolf of Strathroy, Mark and Lia Schepers of Parkhill, Rita Murray and Don Crocker of St. Thomas, Therese and Ron Copeland of Watford and Harry and Dawn Schepers of Glencoe; dear grandmother of 17 grandchildren and I great-grandchild. Fondly remembered by her sister Nolda Bos of Strathroy and brother Jan Dortmans of Holland. Predeceased by her brothers Harry, John, Adrian and William Dortmans. Survived by her sisters-in-law Nellie and Liz Dortmans. Visitation will be held in the Denning Bros. Funeral Home 32 Metcalfe St. W., Strathroy on Saturday, April 7, 2007 from 2:00-4:00 P.M. and 7:00-9:00 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at All Saints Parish, Strathroy on Monday, April 9, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. with Fr. Ted Johnson celebrant. Private family interment will be held at Beechwood Cemetery, Forest. Donations to the Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital C.T. Scanner Fund would be appreciated. Parish Prayers will be held in the funeral home Saturday at 1:30 P.M.
