Obituary of Carol Gibson

Carol Gibson, at Strathroy Hospital on October 24, 2007, in her 77th year, after a long and courageous struggle with cancer. Predeceased by her husband of 52 years, William Gibson, and by her sister Mary McKnight and brother David Ottewell. Survived by her loving family: son Michael Gibson, daughter-in-law Cynthia, grandchildren Kathleen and Lauren, and sister Lynn Bonar. Originally from Bruce County, she lived for the past 35 years in Metcalfe Township, and worked at SDCI before retirement. Steadfast, loving, loyal and generous, she will be greatly missed. Donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Visitation will be held at Denning Bros. Funeral Home, 32 Metcalfe St. W., Strathroy on Saturday, October 27 from 1-2 PM when a memorial service will be held with Mrs. Thelma Perry officiating. Interment to follow in Strathroy Cemetery.
