Obituary of Antonius Ploegmakers

Peacefully at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on Friday, February 15, 2008, Antonius "Tony" Ploegmakers passed, in his 84th year. Beloved husband of Hendrika (Van Vonderen) for over 51 years. Loving father of Paulina of London and Michael of Toronto. Dear brother of Elisabeth Joosten of London. Also survived by sister Anna and brother Harry of the Netherlands. Predeceased by his parents Hendrikus and Woutrina Ploegmakers, his brothers Klaas, Piet, Jas, Frans and John, as well as sisters Jaan and Drika. He will be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews and fondly remembered by his many friends. Visitation will be held at Denning Bros. Funeral Home, 32 Metcalfe St, Strathroy, on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m with Parish Prayers at 1:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in All Saints Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at 11 a.m. with Father Lucio Couto as celebrant. Cremation to follow and interment at a later date. In memory of Tony, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
