Obituary of Johanna Weerd

Peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday May 4, 2008 at Strathmere Lodge (Strathroy) Johanna Maria De Weerd (Verboort) in her 90th year. Predeceased by her loving husband Gerard De Weerd (2007) of 55 years. Mother of Mary (Rob) Vegso, Annette (Martin) VandenBoomen and Rick (Julie) De Weerd. Grandma to Randie, Kari Ann (Allister), Angela ( Mike), Terri, Michael and Oma to Brian (Heather), Kelly (Scott), Mike (Jodi) and Laura. Also survived by her brother Harry Verboort (London) and sisters Bertha, Gerarda and Dora from Holland. Brother in laws Martinus VanderWijst (Holland) and Antonius Swartz (Acton). Predeceased by sisters Hendrica VanderWijst and Maria Swartz. Visitation will be held in the Denning Bros. Funeral Home, 32 Metcalfe Street West, Strathroy on Tuesday, May 6 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in All Saints Parish, Strathroy, on Wednesday, May 7 at 11 AM with Fr. Michael Kiszko celebrant. Interment to follow in All Saints Catholic Cemetery. Parish Prayers will be held in the funeral home Tuesday at 6:45 PM . In lieu of flowers, donations to the Memorial Fund Strathmere Lodge Ladies Auxiliary, P.O. Box #5000,Strathroy.
