Obituary of Gordon Waldie

Peacefully at Sprucedale Care Centre, on Thursday May 29, 2008, Gordon Russell Waldie passed in his 91st year. Beloved husband of Gertrude (Laidlaw) Waldie of Strathroy. Loving father of Elizabeth (Betty) and Rob Farris of North Bay, Don and Wendy Waldie of London, Louise Waldie of Toronto, John and Karen Waldie of Whitby and Keith and Laurie Waldie of Sarnia. Dear grandfather of Laura and David Farris, Rebecca Waldie, Michael and Paul Yassa, Jennifer, Linda, Jonathan and Daniel Waldie and Mark and Shawn Waldie. Predeceased by his brothers Thomas and Robert and infant granddaughter Jennifer (Jenny) Farris. Visitation will be held at Denning Bros. Funeral Home, Strathroy, on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. where the funeral service will take place on Monday, June 2, 2008 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Steve Boose officiating. Cremation to follow. In memory of Gordon, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Alzheimer Society.
