Karen Smith posted a condolence

It is with great sorrow that I discovered Cathy had past. We usually connect a couple of times a year and one of those times was on her birthday, August 12th. Cathy and I were great, long time friends.
Were first met 44 years ago when I began teaching at Henderson Avenue Public School. Cathy took me under her wing and became my mentor. Our relationship grew from there. We traveled to Europe together twice, once with the company of my husband, Murray, and once as two gals on an adventure. Cathy was Godmother to my two children, Katelyn and Ryan, who both have their own families now.
My condolences to Jim and Kathy-Joh and their families. Cathy will be missed and thought of often.

I was very fortunate to spend time with Aunt Cathy several times while looking for work in Toronto. Mom and Aunt Cathy were great supporters during my theatre days! I loved getting together for pizza and dinners at the Octagon. Tom and I have great memories of getting together with Aunt Cathy for visits and dinners. The last outing we had with Aunt Cathy was absolutely terrific. She was always wonderful, cheerful and it was a joy to be with her. We will always cherish our time with her and the memories of her. Rest in peace.
All our love,
Kimberley, Tom, Jacob, Jordana and Zara

Cathy and I were classmates in the Class of 1964 at the London Teachers’ College. Cathy was a lovely, cultured young lady who possessed a very caring nature. It was guaranteed that Cathy would be an excellent teacher. To Cathy’s family and friend, I express my most sincere condolences on her passing.
