Obituary of Audrey Jordan

Peacefully surrounded by the love of her family at Strathmere Lodge onThursday September 4, 2008. Audrey Jordan (Coughlan) at 82 years old. Beloved wife for 59 years to Bernie Jordan (2006). Loving mother of Christopher (1991), Michael Jordan (Lynn) of St. Thomas and Elisabeth Mackey (John) of Strathroy. Survived by a brother Alan Coughlan of Exeter UK and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Cyril and Annie Coughlan and a sister in law Shirley. Born in Newport, Wales, she and Bernie emigrated to Canada in 1954 at which time Audrey spent much of her time volunteering. She was an active member of St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church and a life member of Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital Ladies Auxiliary and a lifetime member of the Mary Armstrong Chapter of the IODE. She will be sadly missed by her many friends. Visitation will be held at Denning Bros. Funeral Home, Strathroy on Sunday September 7th, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held from St. John The Evangelist Anglican Church, Strathroy on Monday September 8th, at 11am with Rev. Karen Nelles officiating. Interment in Strathroy Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Strathroy Hospital Ladies Auxiliary Memorial Fund Strathmere Lodge Auxiliary or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
