It is with great sadness that today I went to Craigwiel Gardens to visit my cousin and saw that Gord’s picture was not on the wall & rounded the corner to see he wasn’t in his room. I go every week but my cousin was in the hospital.
His wife “Auntie” Marg looked after my girls while I worked. She was a special person. Oddly today I brought Gord’s book Comfort Zone stories which he had signed when I had visited them long ago in Ailsa Craig, and I today wrote a reply. I was going to give it to Gord to give to one of his family.
It wasn’t until I just recently got home and checked online to confirm Gord’s passing. And then I missed your family gathering at the cemetery and at Ailsa Craig. It wasn’t meant to be. I’m so sorry for the passing of Gord. Sending love, Jessie Chesnut
