Obituary of Charles Ray Hodgins

It is with profound sadness that the family of Charles Ray Hodgins announces his peaceful passing on Monday February 6th, 2023, at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital in Strathroy, Ontario.

Dear husband of the late Elizabeth (Barnes) Hodgins (2015). Charles is survived by his loving family Bob (Julia), Mike (Lena), and Ron (Lori). Loving grandpa to Jennifer, Jerrett (Candice), Brad (Jenn), Rick (Kristine), Dan (Julie), Kandis (Mitch), Kevin (Jess), Kyle (Laryssa), Tasha (Colin), Beth (Steve), and Heath (Caileigh). Loving great-grandpa and the “Suckerman” to his 19 great-grandchildren Sophia, Anna, Lynleigh, Hunter, Lochlan, Ben, Ryland, Eli, Parker, Everly, Nora, Ray, Meredith, Corina, Clifford, Willow, Maverick, Charlie, and Casey. Charles is also survived by his sisters-in-law Donna Hodgins, Joyce Hodgins, and Jeanette Hodgins. Charles is also survived by his dear cousins and close friends Irene, Scott and Joyce Marrinan. Predeceased by his parents Edna and Henry Hodgins, and his siblings Robert, Dorothy (Jerry Prout), Earl, Max, Norman and Morley Hodgins.

Also, Charles is predeceased by the Barnes brothers and sisters.

Charles worked as an electrician for over 40 years, at Joliffe Seaton Electronics, in London. In his retirement, Charles enjoyed golfing and fishing. His family was the joy of his life, and he loved spending time with them.

Visitation will be held at DENNING’S OF AILSA CRAIG on Sunday February 12th, 2023, from 4:00pm until 8:00pm. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Monday February 13th, 2023, at 1:00pm. Interment to follow at Parkhill Cemetery.
