Our thoughts and prayers go out Doug, Sue and John. Greg and Kate have lost their best friend. Tom was an amazing dedicated friend their whole lives. He always had time for their visits. He gave so much of himself - also always giving them little things of his- baseball caps, movies, CD's and just recently his Gameboy and his leather Western bracelet which will be cherished forever. Tom Wilson, or T-Willy as we called him, was such a joyful and uplifting presence as a classmate and dorm room neighbour at the University of Western Ontario. He had a kind heart and a gentle soul. He also had a beat up light blue pickup truck that he'd drive around campus, sometimes giving us a ride in the trailer, which was quite a novelty for city kids like myself. After graduation he came to visit us in Toronto on occasion, and despite the time and distance between us, always seemed to pick right back up wherever we left off. He was a really sweet guy, a great friend, a fun person to be around, and he will be missed by all of us who inhabited the 3-south hall of the Essex Dorm, or were enrolled in the media studies program at Western.
