It is with heavy hearts the family announces the passing of Irene Elizabeth Carruthers on August 9^th, 2021 at Jessica’s House, Exeter in her 87^th year. Beloved wife of the late Earl Andrew Carruthers (2017). Loving mother of Ken (Charlene) Carruthers, Den (Shelly) Carruthers, Karen (Pete) Wilson, and Kevin (Rebekah) Carruthers. Proud and devoted grandma of Tara (Andrew), Chad (Mackenna), the late Marissa (2021)(Steve), Andrew (Miranda), Wade, Brianne, Chelsey (Galen), Ryan (Emma), Amber (Tyler), Madisyn, Alyson, and Jacob. Great-grandmother of Decklan, Rylyn, Marshall, Lawson, Lily, Lennon, and Hayden. Survived by her sister June (Jack) Wilton and her brother-in-law Bob Shipway. Predeceased by her brother Orville (Helen) Griffith and her sister Donna Shipway. Irene will be sadly missed and remembered by her many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. 

A private family service will be held at DENNING’S OF AILSA CRAIG on Thursday, August 12^th, 2021 .
