Obituary of Amos Schwartz

Peacefully at Craigwiel Gardens in Ailsa Craig on Thursday, April 2, 2009, Mary Elizabeth Amos - Schwartz (nee Lamport) in her 89th year. Loving wife of the late Grant Amos and the late Lawrence Schwartz. Beloved mother of Ross (Janet) Amos of Mississauga, the late Betty (Alan) Hodgson of Victoria British Columbia, Marg (Don) McAlpine of Ailsa Craig, Bill Amos and Cathie MacKenzie of London, and Kelly Amos of London. Survived by grandchildren Jim (Tawnya) Amos, Carolyn (Derek) Christie, Bonnie (Chris) Grace, Joanne (Paul) Van Hooydonk, Sandi (Ian) McCulloch, Lindsay (Richard) West, Paula Hodgson, Erin Hodgson, April Amos, Hunter Amos, Coty Amos and Katee Amos. Great-grandmother of 15. Also loved by her extended family and friends. Predeceased by her brothers Gordon, Melvin, William, Edward, Roy and Nelson Lamport and her sisters Elva Brand and Ila Love. Friends will be received on Saturday, April 4, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at T. Stephenson & Son Funeral Home , Ailsa Craig where a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Sunday, April 5th at 2:00 pm with Reverend David Mitchell officiating. Interment to follow in Mars Hill Cemetery, Brinsley. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the V.O.N Palliative Care, Brinsley United Church or Ailsa Craig United Church.
