Obituary of Ilona Galicza

Peacefully at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on Monday, May 25, 2009, Ilona Galicza, in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Michael Galicza. Loving mother of Iren Szampias and the late Lajos Szampias, Eva Linzmajer and her husband Ambrus (Andy), and Alex Galicza all of Strathroy. Cherished grandmother of Lajos Szampias (Maria Suzette), Irenke Strybosch (Martin) and Zsolti Szampias (Renata Berbecs), Michael Linzmajer (Agnes) and Monika Sayeau (Steve), and Steven and Eric Galicza. Great grandmother of Martin and Kristy Strybosch, Julia and Aaron Szampias, Krystian Linzmajer and Benjamin Ambrose Sayeau. Predeceased by her 7 brothers and sisters in Slovakia. She will be dearly missed by many family and friends. Visitation will be held at Denning Bros. Funeral Home, Strathroy, on Wednesday from 5-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in All Saints Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, May 28, 2009 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow in All Saints Cemetery. Parish prayers on Wednesday 4:30 p.m. In memory of Ilona, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Alzheimer's Society
