Obituary of Bruce Dixon

Tuesday January 5. 2010. At Craigwiel Gardens, Ailsa Craig, Ont.. Bruce A. Dixon, formerly of Poplar Hill in his 83rd year. Loving friend of Clare Dixon (Arbuckle) of Port Franks and dear father of Wayne and Karen Dixon, Glen Dixon, Brenda and Jake Vanderhoek, Gail and Adolph Deputter, and Paul Dixon all of Strathroy. Loving grandpa to Sarah, Brianne, Jillian, Darrin, Katelyn, Jessica, Cassie and Chelsea. Bruce is also survived by his sister Mildred Laye of Ailsa Craig and sister-in-law Marion Medland of Strathroy. Predeceased by his parents Frank and Hannah Dixon (Zavitz) and his brothers Bert and Ross Dixon. Visitation will be held at DENNING BROS. FUNERAL HOME LTD. 32 METCALFE ST. W. STRATHROY on Thursday January 7, 2010 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm where funeral service will be held on Friday January 8, 2010 at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at Poplar Hill Cemetery. Donations made to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. A tree will be planted as a living memorial to Bruce.
