Obituary of Barbara Zavitz

Peacefully at Strathmere Lodge, on Wednesday, December 29, 2010, Barbara Ellen Zavitz (Aberhart), formerly of Lobo Township in her 95th year. Beloved wife of the late Colin Zavitz (1972) and dear mother of the late Jack Zavitz (1969). Loving mother-in-law of Janet Campbell (Poplar Hill), Loving mother and mother-in-law of Colin and JoAnn Zavitz (London), Barbie and Garry Nancekievill (Ilderton), Liz Zavitz (Poplar Hill) and Tracy and Marcie Zavitz (Ilderton). Loving and devoted grandma of 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. A loving and loved aunt of many nieces and nephews. Survived by her dear sister Ollie and brother-in-law Edgil Dauphine (Nova Scotia). Predeceased by her parents Barbara and George Aberhart (Seaforth area), and her brothers George, Don and Rob Aberhart, her sisters Mae Zavitz and Bea Aberhart. Visitation will be held at Denning Bros. Funeral Home, 32 Metcalfe St. W, Strathroy on Sunday from 1-5 p.m, where the Funeral Service will also be held on Monday, January 3, 2011 at 1 p.m with Rev. Dr. Ron Dakin officiating. Interment to follow in Poplar Hill Cemetery. In memory of Barbara, donations may be made to The Bible Society.
