Our sympathies to Dan and Lee, Dave and Nancy and all the families. I have so many great memories of Muriel. She was so good to us girls growing up. She made many dresses for me, for my grandparents anniversary, my aunt’s wedding and even my Grade 8 Grad dress to name a few. She loved to cook and bake and it was always a treat when she would stop in at our place with her freshly made scones. I remember trips to St Catharines in the fall for peaches. And I remember her hugs. When you got a hug from Muriel it was never just a hug - it was a HUG! - and always when we needed it most. She just wrapped you up in her love. It is comforting to know that she is now enjoying her time with so many of her loved ones that have gone before her - a sad ending but a joyful beginning for her.

Dan, Lee, Dave and Nancy Payne and families, I was saddened to learn of the passing of Muriel. She was truly a remarkable person and leaves a legacy of a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, cousin, friend and member of the community and church. It has been an honour to have known her and when Bruce Glover and I visited she always made us feel so welcome. Unfortunately I have just had major surgery and will be unable to pay my respects in person.
