Obituary of Muriel Robinson

Peacefully, on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at the age of 89 Muriel June Robinson (nee Pollard) went to be with her Lord and Savior. June was united with her "sunshine" Clarence Robinson (2010). June was a devoted mother and will be cherished by Jonathan and Marilyn Robinson of Strathroy, William Robinson of Toronto, and Muriel and David Harwood of Strathroy. Proud Granny Julie and Wayne Xion and their children of Sudbury, Aaron Harwood of Strathroy, Karen and Simon Slater of Edmonton Alberta and Ruth-Ann Harwood of Strathroy. June was a sister of David and June Pollard of Strathroy and Barbara (the late Robert) Pollard of British Columbia and sister-in-law of Elwyn (the late Margaret) Robinson of Cottam. June will be cherished by her close friend for over 70 years Jewell Raithby. She was loved and respected by her nieces, nephews and cousins on both sides of the family. Friends will be received on Friday, November 25th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Denning Bros. Funeral Home, Strathroy, where a funeral service will be held from the funeral home chapel on Saturday, November 26th at 11:00 am with Dr. Brian McKenzie officiating. Private family interment will take place at a later time in Strathroy Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society or a charity of your choice. A tree will be planted as a living memorial to Muriel.
