Peacefully at Strathmere Lodge, Strathroy on Sunday, June 17, 2012. Domingos Bernardo Soares of Strathroy in his 97th year. Beloved husband of the late Maria Francelina Soares (2008). Loving father of Albert (Emeria), Maria Kolstein (John) and Josie Baptista (Silvio). Cherished grandfather of Chris Soares, Jeffrey Baptista, Monica Kolstein-Karpat, Angela Soares and Kevin Baptista and great-grandfather of Lauryn, Lily-Eleanor, Grace Ann and Ethan Oliver. Dear brother of Leonor Tavares. Predeceased by 3 brothers and 5 sisters. Friends will be received at Denning Bros. Funeral Home, Strathroy, on Tuesday, June 19 from 6-9 p.m. with parish prayers at 7:45 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in All Saints Roman Catholic Church, Strathroy on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at 11 a.m. with Father Lucio Couto officiating. Interment to follow in All Saints Cemetery. In memory of Domingos, donations may be made to the Strathroy Hospital Foundation.
