Obituary of Bruce Edwards

Bruce Edwards of London, 68, peacefully at home in the arms of his beloved wife Ruth Edwards (Lightfoot). Dearly loved stepfather of Rob Slater & his wife Aimie of Ailsa Craig, and Vicki Schenning & her husband Frank of Parkhill. Lovingly remembered by grandchildren Ashley Schenning, Vanessa Bondy-Slater and Zac Bondy-Slater. Dear brother of Terry & Roz Edwards of Amherstburg. Dear brother-in-law of George & Carol Lightfoot of London, Esther & Ron Mawson of Exeter and Dinah Parisien & Ken Dixon of Ailsa Craig. Predeceased by his parents Calvin & Ruby Edwards of Windsor, Ruth's parents, Clarence (Boots) & Dorothy Lightfoot of Ailsa Craig, nephew Adam Parisien of White Rock, BC., friends Mike Ellison of London and Hannahli Dool of Nelson BC. Fondly remembered by his wonderful friends from the Friday night, Saturday night, Tuesday night & the Fokes Bridge clubs, the Enterprise employees, many other great friends, many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts & uncles. Bruce was a former employee of Enterprise, had a passion for bridge, theatre, travel, family & friends. Friends will be received at T. Stephenson & Son Funeral Home in Ailsa Craig on Monday from 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. The memorial service will be at the Ailsa Craig Community Centre, 155 Annie Ada Shipley, Ailsa Craig, on Tuesday, November 13 at 11a.m. with Rev. Anne Beattie-Stokes officiating. In lieu of flowers contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
