Obituary of Harris Evan

Evan Harris passed peacefully on Saturday, November 15, 2003 in his 95th year. His wife, Laura, predeceased him in 1990. He leaves his three children, Bill (Joanne) of Guelph, Bruce (Donna) of Kerwood and Mary Dodge (Fred Butcher) of Strathroy Predeceased by his son-in-law Raymond Didge (1994). Also survived by his sister Edna Campbell (her husband Byron, predeceased 1995). When his grandchildren were small, he enjoyed reading to Melissa, Steven and Teresa Dodge, and Jennifer and Paul Harris. He also welcomed their spouses to his family - Scott Berlemont, Jacoba Dodge and Mike Skalski. Born in 1909, he farmed in Adelaide Township for many years, and where his family continues to farm. Visitation at the Denning Bros. Funeral Home, Strathroy on Monday, November 17 from 6 - 9 PM where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 18 at 1 PM with Rev. Michael Perreault officiating. Interment in Strathroy Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Kerwood/Bethesda United Church or to the Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital Foundation..
