Obituary of Herbert Dowding

Gone to his rest with the Blessed Assurance of Christ, at Sprucedale Care Centre, Strathroy on Thursday, July 5, 2007. Herbert Linold Dowding of Strathroy in his 94th year. Beloved husband of the late Norma (White) Dowding (1986). Loving Dad of Vivian and Peter Russell of Waterloo, Joyce and Brian Howard of London, Carolyn and Wayne Hartley of Strathroy and Kenneth and Linda Dowding of Strathroy. Loving grandpa of 13 grandchildren and many great and great-great grandchildren. Also survived by his sister Winnie (Art) Pedden of Strathroy. Dear brother-in-law of Ruby (Roy) Drake, Ila (Howard) Parsons, Betty (George) Parkin and Shirley (Glenn) Eastabrook. Herb was a long time member of the Poplar Hill Christian Church, where a luncheon will be held following the interment. Visitation will be held at Denning Bros. Funeral Home, Strathroy on Sunday, July 8 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM where a funeral service will be held on Monday, July 9 at 1:30 PM with Rev. Bruce Gibb officiating. Interment in Poplar Hill Cemetery.
