Obituary of Anna Szatanski

"She will soar on the wings of an angel." On Saturday, July 21 at 2:40 p.m. in London, Ontario, Anna Elise Szatanski (Pfau) gently passed on to a new life beyond, after a short battle with ovarian cancer. Born on June 21, 1929, she was married to the late Jan Szatanski. Anna is survived by her younger brother, Ernst, in Germany and his wife, Elisabeth. Anna was the loving mother of Michael (SSM), Peter (Ottawa), Barbara (Ottawa), Christine (Strathroy) and Thomas (SSM). She was an equally loving mother-in-law to Beverly, Kevin, Peter and Heather. Her pride and joy was being grandmother to her twelve grandchildren -- Cynthia, Desi, Kristopher, Geoffrey, Ashley, Krystal, Megan, Michela, Brandon, Benjamin, Cameron, and Mackenzie. Anna was a regular volunteer in the community and a most giving soul. She will truly be missed by all those whose lives she has touched. A celebration of her life will be held at 6 Stewart Street (Twin Elm Estates), Strathroy, ON between 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 25, 2007. Donations can be made in her memory to the Canadian Cancer Society.
