Obituary of Gilbert Kirby

Kirby,Gilbert - Peacefully with family at his side on Sunday January 11, 2009 at St.Thomas Elgin General Hospital. Gilbert Kirby of RR#2 Mount Brydges in his 96th year. Beloved husband of the late Frances Kirby(2005) and dear father of Patricia (Andy) Maruscak of Reece's Corners, Michael(Susan)Kirby of Ingersoll and daughter in law Karen Kirby of Napier. Devoted grandpa to Erin(James)Menlove, Matthew & Adam Maruscak, Dean(Tricia)Kirby, Yvonne Kirby, Ryan Kirby(Heather), Kyle & Alex Kirby. Great grandfather to Courtney Kirby and Madelyn & Abigail Thomas. Predeceased by his son Robert Kirby (2008). Visitation will be held at DENNING BROS.FUNERAL HOME,STRATHROY on Wednesday January 14th from 7:00pm to 9:00pm where funeral service will be held on Thursday January 15, 2009 at 11:00am with Rev. Nancy Adams officiating. Cremation will take place with interment in Mt.Carmel Cemetery at a later date. Donations to Strathroy Hospital Foundation or charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. A Royal Canadian Legion Service under the direction of Sir Arthur Currie Branch #116 Strathroy will take place on Wednesday January 14th at 6:30 pm.
